Boys' Secondary
School Gindiri,was established in 1950 by the Sudan United Mission,now
Action Partners who arrived Nigeria in 1904.It is a boarding school for boys only and is among the first Protestant Voluntary Agency school in northern Nigeria.
The philosophy of the founding fathers is derived from Luke 2:52 and the school's motto is "For Light and Truth."
The school is committed to hardworking,discipline and Christian training through educational,social and wholistic training of students,and has produced countless important personalities who are excelling in all spheres of life across the globe.
BSS Gindiri,has set important records in past and has consolidated on this recently when it came third and won a Bronze Medal at the IFEST- Arena for Competition in Science and Mathematics held in Tunisia between the 14th to 24th March 2018.
The team comprised of the Principal,Dr Joshua Jabbe,JETS patron,Mr Monday Dawuleng,the physics teacher Mr Lawrence Ezekiel,the Nigerian coordinator of the competition,Prof Aderemi Adedibu,and the two students/initiators of the Hover Craft project,Seyilnen Jan and Japheth Parah.
The arrived Nigeria on 1/4/2018,and the Principal of the school who was full of gratitude,appreciated God,the proprietor,staff,students,alumni,Board of Governors,PTA,the two staff and students for their tenacity,sacrifice,and commitment while preparing for the competition.
He further stated that this is the first time in the history of the school where they had a successful foreign trip for a competition as other attempts in time past did not record success.
He dedicated the success and victory to God and his team of hardworking and committed staff who are always up and doing and the students for obedience and willingness to learn.
He described them as a team in line with 1 Corinthians 3:6,and added that Japheth Parah emerged second in the oral presentation out of 98 other students from different countries.
